TENS Therapy and Healthmate Forever

Humans evolved on the planes of Africa by hunting and gathering. We have been walking, running, searching and fighting for many millennia. Our modern lifestyle is easy, so easy that our bodies can’t adapt.
– Sitting down for long periods of time
– Eating and drinking pure sugar and carbs
– Watching movies and surfing the internet with our heads down
These are just a few modern choices that cause a great plethora of problems.
Our muscles atrophy, our bellies distend, our necks ache…something has to change.

Luckily for you, there is something called, EXERCISE!
To Move is the first step to solving all of these problems!

Being an amateur athlete, very amateur, I exercise on a near daily routine.
I run, I jump, I swim, I kick, I punch, I play, I sweat!
All of this exercise leaves my muscles exhausted and tired. So I shower, stretch, rub my legs and sleep…but sometimes this isn’t enough. I still have aches, pains, and cramps from consistent efforts.

Two years ago, I came across a device called, Healthmate Forever.
This is a TENS unit; Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation System.
A small controller tied to electrodes attached at two ends of a muscle stimulate rapid contraction and relaxation causing the muscle to vibrate at the frequency of the electrical signal.
Depending on the tightness, stiffness and pain I feel from the muscle, I use the device as directed for a period of 10 to 60 minutes; allows up to 80 minute treatments.

Healthmate Forever has many models depending on the purpose and budget of the user. I was lucky enough to get their top of the line device which supports 2 therapies with 24 programs and a high enough intensity that I have never been able to max it out. The amplitude can get very high and I recommend slowly increasing the power over multiple days and weeks.
